According to reports, the family of former NFL linebacker Junior Seau will allow researchers to study his brain. Seau, who was found Wednesday after an apparent suicide, died from a gunshot wound to the chest, leaving his brain.
Research on Seau's brain would be done to determine the impact that his multiple concussions had on him. Seau played 20 seasons in the league for the Chargers, Dolphins and Patriots.
It is unknown at this time where Seau's brain will be studied.
